Shealyn Malone joins the lab!
We're so lucky to welcome Shealyn Malone to the lab as a M.S. student! Shealyn received her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and M.A. in Science Curriculum and Development from the University of Colorado-Boulder and was a Science Faculty member at Kent Denver High School and Overland High School in Aurora, CO before joining the lab. She will be working on a USDA-NIFA-funded projected specifically investigating how differences in microbial community structure, driven by various cropping and termination strategies, alter wheat volatiles. She will then assess how changes in the volatile profile may influence the preference of wheat stem sawfly and consequences for its natural enemy.
