Austin Simonpietri receives Institute on Ecosystems Summer Fellowship and Undergraduate Scholars Pro

Austin Simponpietri, an undergraduate in the Ecology Department and research assistant in our lab, received an IoE Summer Fellowship as well as a USP Fellowship to fund his work focusing on the interactive effects of drought and herbivory on plant volatile chemistry and correlations with physiological stress. He's gearing up to kill over 100 ponderosa pines...in the name of science of course!
