Our USDA proposal was funded!

Our USDA-NIFA proposal "Diversifying cropping systems through integrated grazing: impacts on plant-microbe-insect interactions, yield, and economic returns" was recommended for funding! This is an interdisciplinary project led by Dr. Fabian Menallad and in collaboration with Dr. David Weaver, Dr. Tim Seipel, Dr. Maryse Bourgault, and Dr. Carl Yeoman here at MSU. We are evaluating the effects of cover crop diversity and termination method on wheat agroecosystem function, economics, and resilience to climate change and assessing whether cover crop diversity, termination method, and climate treatment impact soil microbes, VOC profiles, and pest dynamics. So grateful to be working on such an interesting project with great people!
